My name is Ashley Thomas and after graduating from The University of Alabama at Birmingham with a BA in Communication, I worked in Marketing for companies across the Birmingham area. It was through my job as a Social Media Marketing Manager that I discovered my adoration for photography. So, in 2022 I created Ashley Nicole Photography.

 

Why photography? For me, I love pictures that make it feel like time is standing still. I always find myself looking back at pictures of my childhood and remembering all the fun memories associated with that picture. Photography is so much more than snapping pictures. It’s all about creating a highlight reel in this beautiful movie, we call life!

 

Why choose me? I have REAL experience! From sports, maternity, family sessions, or portraits I have captured it all. As a former athlete turned coach, I have an extensive knowledge of when/where those great shots occur. As a former pageant girl, I know that butterfly-like feeling that consumes your body when you look at the perfect portrait of yourself. And as someone who was born into a massive family, I know the difficulty of getting everyone together and the pure joy thats experienced when everyone is at the right place at the right time.
